Calling all Central MN flutists! Community Flute Day at LSFI is a brand new opportunity to take your playing to the next level, make new friends, and experience flute in a whole new way!
Audition Prep
Get ready for All-State auditions, chair placements, or bring any piece of your choosing! Each participant will receive an individual lesson with Dr. Catherine Ramirez in a masterclass format. Get personalized feedback on your playing from one of Minnesota's finest teachers and performers and learn from observing your fellow flutists in their own lessons.
Chamber Music
Pair up with flutists at your level for a duet or trio. You'll get tips and coaching from a professional to make the music come to life and perform on the final concert.
Performance
Hear the flute at its best with performances by our teaching artists. Show off your chamber music and flute choir pieces for fellow flutists and family. Playing music together is the perfect way to end the day!

Flute Choir
One flute sounds beautiful. Ten sound spectacular. Try your hand at alto, bass, or even contrabass flute and discover what makes flute choir such a unique and unforgettable sound! Pieces will be selected to incorporate players at every level.
Eurythmics
Take a break from reading music and experience it! If you've ever found yourself moving to a beat, eurythmics is for you. Explore musical concepts through motion and interactive games and connect your body, your ear, and your instrument.
Tips and Tricks
Find out how to get gorgeous high notes, learn the science make your practice more efficient and more fun, and make your fingers fly. These mini-sessions will address common flute trouble spots with lots of strategies to take back home--don't forget your notebook!
